About Louise Milne

People find me easy to open up to and I am genuinely interested in hearing your story. I am supportive, non-judgemental, and robust enough to contain complex and painful issues. I believe in soothing hurts, untangling the knotted issues, and helping clients to grow.

Please do not think that seeking counselling is a sign of weakness or that you can not cope – it shows that you are willing to take good care of yourself and it can be looked on as an investment in yourself.

I qualified as a Counsellor in 2005, achieved my BCAP Accreditation in 2008 and have worked full-time as a counsellor since qualifying. My training was a 4-year part-time course at the University of Kent in Canterbury, and I hold a Certificate in Counselling Skills (2002) and a Diploma In Counselling (2005). I am a Registered and Accredited Member of the BACP (British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists).

As a counsellor, I have regular supervision, which is confidential. I attend regular training courses and other studies as part of my Continuous Professional Development.

You can’t change the direction of the wind, but you can adjust the sails to reach your destination.
